1957 Ford Thunderbird finished in a briliant Flame Red with Red Interior. Highest quality frame off and full restored example with only 5 miles since restoration. This beautiful example is powered by a 312ci V8 with a pair of 4bbl Holley carburetors and backed by a Ford-O-Matic Automatic Transmission. The E-Code example is a highly desirable variant that featured the optional 312ci V8 which produced 270hp/336lb-ft of torque. This engine had a longer bore, longer stroke, higher compression ratio, and an automatic choke compared to the other engine options available for the Thunderbird. It is one of the most sought after versions of the 1957 Thunderbird as there were only 1,449 produced. This Thunderbird is an all numbers matching example and has options that consist of: power steering; power brakes; and a Town & Country radio and hardtop. It is a multiple show winning car that was awarded the Senior Class Gold Award in its inaugural showing at the 2015 New Mexico Classic Thunderbird Club International Show in Concours 1 judging for Most Authentic Class. It has a new set of Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels and come with its original invoice to authenticate the car.The Ford Thunderbird was the answer to GM and the 1953 Chevrolet Corvette they built. In 1955, Ford decided it was their turn and gave full reigns to their team to design a two-seater that was for the everyday person, but held their own against the competition Chevy was putting out there. Though the first installment wasn't as fast as those from Chevy, they eventually solidified the Thunderbird as a classy two-seater with power. 1957 would end up being the last version of the Thunderbird that was known for its sporty demeanor and allowing only two people in the cabin (until 2002), as they would later redesign the car moving forward. Other standout features included a power seat, a radio that was controlled by speed, a new dash, and fins that made the car show off more than its predecessors. All numbers matching E-Thunderbird is one of the best of the best and shouldn't be missed. For more information on this beautiful and iconic American Classic, call our friendly and knowledgeable sales team or always feel free to drop by our Bellevue, WA Park Place Ltd campus - where we have over 40,000 sq ft of indoor showrooms filled with the finest cars.
